So finally I bit the bullet an made an investment in my future photography. I have wanted to upgrade my camera for so long but finally I made the decision to do it now. It took a lot of planning and a bit of financial borrowing but I has finally arrived. To say I was like a child at Christmas was an understatement. Iv never been so excited to open a box and put the parts together. Oh my the difference in caliber from my trusty 60D is astounding. Why didn't I bit the bullet sooner. The quality is so superb its positively dreamy!!! I'm in love.
I went an alternative route to most and purchased my Canon 5D Mark III online. Risky I know but the prices were that bit cheaper. I purchased mine on eGlobal Central and apart from a few technical glitches with my order processing at the start, It arrived safe and sound!! I had never heard of the website but my uncle who used the website to buy his camera and told me about it. I have to say the prices were a major seller for me. Obviously ordering an expensive camera online is a risk but happily it paid off. Now excuse me while I go play with my new toy. -R-xxx What can I say guys! Its been a bit of a wait for this wedding album but I hope it will be worth it!! These two lovely people tied the knot back in April and I can honestly say I never had as much fun and laughter during a wedding day. I laughed from start to finish and I think that somes up the easy going nature and attitude Amy and Paul had to getting married. It was going to be one hell of a party!!
……………………………………………………………………………...….(See more photos below)………………………………………………………………………………….. Well back in May I have the privilege of photographing my beautiful Nephew Cilllian on his Communion Day. This was one of those fun shoots where we were all in stitches laughing and I managed to get some get shots. Cillian is growing up so fast, I really can not believe it. However he is turning into a truly lovely and special young man. He will make some lucky girl very happy some day.
Anyway here he is in his smart suit and surrounded by his family, and not a bad looking bunch they are either, if I do say so myself. -R-xxx ……………………………………………………………………..…………….(see more photos below)……………………………………………………………………………... Things have been so busy the last couple of months that all my editing and updating was put on hold until now.
However, better late than never and this is the first post of three. I was asked to photograph the beautiful Ava on the morning of her communion day back in April. I decided to some formal and some informal photographs on the day as the family had a nice big room that I could set up my new studio lights and backdrop which I had just invested in. The family were so easy going and we so happy with whatever photographs they could get, and Ava was a little star co-operating with everything I asked her to do. What about that communion dress though folks???? Different or what??? I absolutely love it!!! -R-xxx …………………………………………………..…………………….(see more photos below!!!)……………………………………………………………………….. So a couple of weeks ago I was asked to do a little photo shoot of baby Ellie. I had not going to lie and say I have loads of experience with new babies or I have all the right equipment to shoot newborns because I do not. However I accepted the challenge and pushed myself to grow and learn. Little miss Ellie did not make it an easy task for me though and at just 3 weeks new her big personality and her determination not to sleep were the biggest lesson. No matter how you plan or anticipate how a shoot will go, if a little person decides they do not want to sleep you must surrender and proceed to plan B. We may not have got many sleeping shots of Ellie but the ones of her awake are oh-so-cute too.

So to celebrate my gorgeous wee godson turning 1 year old in March we decided to do a little cake smash photo shoot for his birthday. He had a great time smashing his very one cake and throwing it around. It was so much fun and all I had to do was to keep clicking my camera. I have to say he is a wee model and thats not me being a doting godmother!!!

............................................(see more)....................................... Finally getting around this lovely wedding from June. Lol. This lovely couple wanted a no-fuss, no-nonsense kind of wedding day and these are the couples I love to represent. I love working with people who are happy to be celebrating they're special, happy to be in love and happy to be surrounded by friends. These are the people who give you free rein to take the photos you need and are delighted with every photo they get. This was a lovely wedding to shoot because Geraldine+Donal didnt really care about the end product they just wanted to enjoy their day!!
