Not bad for a first attempt at capturing the moon!!
The last photograph is just a little playfulness with photoshop and hyperreality.
Hope you like,

Back in September we had such good weather and a beautiful massive bright moon illuminating over the Irish landscape at nightfall. So i grabbed my camera to see could i master the low light, the massive zoom and focusing that night photography demands. I adore photographs of sunsets, sunrises, varying colours in the sky but I never thought I could get close enough to the moon to get a clear shot with my Canon 60D and a 55 to 250 zoom lens. However, I did manage to get a couple of nice shots of it after a lot of playing with the ISO etc and a rather shifty travel tripod (which I thought was a good idea at the time of purchasing because its so light). Anyway I was quite chuffed with myself and the clarity I did achieve even if there is a lot of noise on zooming in.

In August I brought the other half to London for his birthday. Admittedly it was just as much for myself as for him. I've lusted to explore London for years and once upon a time even thought of moving there to work. So i was beyond excited for the long weekend in London Town. We arrived early on a Friday and after slightly panacking over the underground hustle and bustle we found our way to beautiful South Kensington. What a lovely area to stay in with lots of culture and museums on your doorstep. London itself is lively and busy and full of entertainment. We went to a musical called The Commitments in The Palace Theatre and it was amazing!! We found are way to most of the beautiful trademark London sights over the following three days and I was in my element with my DSLR. Here are some photographs I took with my camera I hope you like them.
London we will be back to explore with you again!!! -R- xxx ....................................(Click to see more)..................................... On the 1st of June 2014 I was part of the very special celebration of Emma and Philips' love in The Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells. With their beautiful and light hearted humanist ceremony and their relaxed and fun love through out the day made this wedding one of my favourite to date. As a wedding photographer you are there to work and execute a job but as I done my job that day I smiled at the warmth, laughter and happiness all around me. With their three beautiful children Sean, Conor and Sophie; Emma and Philips confirmed their love in front of an intimate crowd of family and friends, the summer sun shone bright for some lovely garden photographs, and everybody had a ball. (including me!!)
-R- xxx ......................................(See More).............................................. This is the bespoke wedding album I created and ordered for John and Rose. It is a square 29.5cmx29.5cm book with silk feel padded cover, 260gsm paper and clamshell presentation box. The idea here was to create a one photograph per page story book that mixes styles, sizes and colours and black and white photographs so that the album is new and interesting with every page turn.
Heres just a few examples of the different layouts with the album. The photographs of the album don't really do it justice but I hope you like the idea. -R-xxx .....................................(See More below)..................................... Sharon and Darren are one of those lovely couples who have been together a long time and now felt the time was right for them to get married. In an intimate ceremony and reception on the 14th May 2014 at The Headfort Arms Hotel they had the day they dreamed of. With their relaxed, go with the flow attitude they were a joy to work with and a perfect match for each other for the rest of their days.
