Anyway, to get to the point I should probably say here that I am in Sydney right now and I have been here 2 weeks now. Yes 2 weeks already, I know, I'm ridiculous at updating this blog sometimes. So Sydney is quite the awesome city I must say, it has an uber chilled out vibe, so much so that even the people going and coming from work look chilled out. The weather is sha-mazing!! Its averaging at a bareable 28 degrees with highs of over 30, I'm Irish what can I say, it's hot for us. Its the most sun I have seen in about 7 years, but I am taking it slow and I am playing it cool, I do not want to look too needy after all. Im getting a nice glow so far, which makes a huge difference to your state of mind I must add, I had forgotten how a little sun can make you feel so good.

So far we have not made ourselves site-sighting prostitutes which can easily happen when you arrive in a new country, rather taking our time and juggling days of lying be the pool with visiting the amazing sights of Sydney. Streneous, I know. So far we have seen the Sydney Opera House (note the tour tells the very interesting story of the Opera House, which I for one did not know), the Sydney Harbour bridge, the Rocks, the Blue Mountains, Featherdale Wildlife Park, the Sydney Tower Eye, tried to surf at Wollongong beach, watched the fireworks over Darling Harbour and ofcourse visited the shops, (and I have to say whoever said that the fashion here is lacking, is so wrong, it is as good as I have seen). It is rather expensive here though so you do have to be prepared for the crazy amounts of money you will spend on daily bits and bobs.
To finish I simply have to mention my plan for the coming weeks here, firstly this saturday marks the first of two hen parties for my sister (one here, a boat cruise from Darling Harbour and a second at home in Ireland at a secret location in December), the lucky duck. Then next Wednesday the 14th Patrice and I fly up to Cairns in Victoria, the starting point of a three week adventure travelling down the Gold Coast from Cairns to Sydney taking in the tropical Whitsunday Islands by boat, diving on the Great Barrier Reef, driving 4x4 jeeps around Frazer Island, camping in Noosa National Park and travelling on down through Brisbane, Surfers Paradise, Byron Bay, Palm Beach and back then to Sydney. Its a trip of a lifetime that you simply can not pass up if you have the savings to throw at it. Well, here's hoping anyway. I will write again, and I promise I wont leave it as long again. Gooda!!
