This camera served me well till a few months ago when the images sensor became blurred and spotty. Having asked in a camera shop they simply said that i'd probably spend the same amount to get it fixed as i would to buy a new one. Disappointed is not the word. However it was time to spread my wings and invest in a DSLR and maybe this was faith!!!
In 2008 i had the pleasure of picking out the replacement for my Kodak for my birthday. I looked at several options but i was drawn to the Canon Digital IXUS 70 for two reasons: because of it's abilities compared to it's competitors and it's style. It was slightly more expensive but worth every euro!! The Canon IXUS 70 had 7 megapixels, LCD screen, Optical zoom, and face detection. Not to mention increadiable colour and sharpness for a tiny compact. It's tough exterior saved it's life many a time, barely dinted it bares only some minor scratches. This beauty went everywhere with me and i was reknowned for having it on me at any moment... I've always had a love of landscapes but this camera allowed me to photograph the landscape, capturing the colour, mood, and sharpness like never before!!!! And when i would print out photographs i had taking with this camera in college, people would exclaim in shock at how i could have taking a photograph with such detail with a compact camera!!!
