The surf was up early on a Sunday morning in November at Wollongong beach. What started out a dull morning in Sydney as we departed, once we got to Wollongong it had turned into a gorgeous day. It was time for my first surf lesson and as a group we were all beginners so we hit the water with our young surf teachers. The waves were so strong and knocked me under a few time and battered and bruised us all. I did not get standing up on my board but I did get as far as having my knees under me. By the time we finished our lesson the sea had taking every ounce of energy I ever had but I really enjoyed the experience and would love to try it again. So nothing was left for us to do then but grab a cold one, chill out, lay down and catch some rays!!! _R_xxx ....................................(See more)........................................
